Volvo CE – Business Leader Wheel Loaders May 2016 – December 2022
Eskilstuna, Sweden
This role started by putting three different teams together in a new global set-up. As the global business leader for Volvo Wheel Loaders, I was responsible for a business unit with annual revenues of approximately 14 billion SEK. I drove business strategy and 8-year product plan for the global market, in close cooperation with all sales regions. We improved the cooperation and strengthened the market position and profitability of the Wheel Loaders business over the 6 years. During these years we launched several new products and implemented new marketing material with an application approach.
Volvo CE – Director of Product Planning Wheel Loaders July 2009 – May 2016
Eskilstuna, Sweden
This role started with a complete cross company reorganization with an all-new team. As Director of Product Planning for Wheel Loaders, I led the strategic planning to meet mature and emerging market demands. The Product plan had to be completely renewed due to a major economic downturn including a review of factories, profitability of different products and balance between short term needs and long term objectives, with a reduction of 20% of R&D-budget and at the same time increasing focus on emerging markets. The teams efforts contributed to a stronger global product portfolio and enhanced Volvo’s competitive edge in the wheel loader market for all regions.
Volvo CE – Head of Design Engineering, Compact WL June 2008 – July 2009
Konz, Germany
In this role, I led all engineering activities for compact wheel loaders, also including project managers, testing and prototype workshop. We successfully launched 2 new products during this time, before a complete reorganization was initiated.
Volvo CE – Supplier Development Director Feb 2005 – June 2008
Eskilstuna, Sweden
Initially this was a complete reorganization where I was involved in setting up 3 new teams. As Supplier Development Director for the Hauler-Loader segment, I focused on strengthening the supply chain and enhancing relationships with key suppliers. My initiatives improved quality and reliability in the delivery process. We also changed all follow-up to improve what suppliers to focus on and assure we had an effective way of working. There was a strong cooperation built together with the different factories to support a smooth production and assembly.
Volvo CE – Product Testing Manager, WL Aug 2001 – Feb 2005
Eskilstuna, Sweden
As Product Testing Manager for Wheel Loaders, I led two departments with both prototype workshop and test engineers, a total of 50+ employees. By performing builds and testing at the same time refining testing methodologies, we ensured high product performance and reliability. At the same time there was a strong focus to always support the different projects and improvement activities driven throughout the R&D-organization to support our customers.
Sandvik Rock tools – Production Manager Oct 1999 – Aug 2001
